The Boulanger Foundation
Brazil Focused
Where It All Began
The roots of The Boulanger Foundation run deep in Brazil. It was here that founder Lygia Boulanger first truly witnessed what it means to bring hope where sorrow resides.
During an early food delivery trip with her daughters, Lygia saw families living without running water, children overjoyed to receive small toys, and mothers crying tears of relief just to have food on the table. That day didn’t just change her perspective — it planted the seeds for a mission that would grow across borders.
Hands-On, Heart-First
In Brazil, we don’t just drop off donations and leave. We set up immersive, community-centered events that restore dignity and bring joy.
At our large-scale pop-up clinics, we provide:
-
Dental care
Including on-the-spot tooth replacements so mothers and children can smile again before they leave. -
Medical services
From local volunteer doctors and nurses. -
Fresh, hot meals
Prepared and served with love. -
Music and celebration
Including local Christian bands that create an atmosphere of joy and healing.
Impact at Scale
- Over 500 families served during one single weekend event.
- Hundreds of food baskets and hygiene kits distributed to families in need.
- Partnerships with local community leaders and safe havens to identify urgent needs.
Beyond Emergency Relief
While immediate support is vital, our ultimate goal in Brazil mirrors our vision everywhere: helping women and families break the cycle of dependency.
We dream of expanding job training, educational workshops, and ongoing support so families can move from crisis to confidence, from survival to independence.
Why Brazil Matters
Many donors don’t realize the depth of need in these communities. Much of our work in Brazil has been self-funded by Lygia and her husband Robert, driven by pure heart and faith.
“Our global impact starts at home, but our hearts beat for Brazil too. We believe every mother, every child, deserves the chance to thrive.” — Lygia Boulanger
