Women’s Recovery & Empowerment Program
At The Boulanger Foundation, we believe no woman should have to face her struggles alone. Whether she has lost her home in a hurricane, is fighting for her child’s health, or living in a slum without clean water — she deserves more than a temporary fix. She deserves transformation.
For the founders Robert and Lygia Boulanger, this is personal. It started with a food delivery to a slum village in Brazil — a moment when their daughters saw families living with nothing. Children without running water, mothers crying tears of relief as they received food and toys, families finding joy in the smallest acts of love.
That day shifted everything. They both understood that true change is not about waiting for the next donation — it’s about empowering women to build sustainable lives.
Whether we are delivering food baskets to a safe haven in Connecticut, covering a deposit to help a family move out of a basement and into their own apartment, or organizing large-scale community health events in Brazil — we are hands-on. We show up. We pour love into every package and every act of service because these women matter, and their dreams deserve to be heard.

What Makes Us Different
The Boulanger Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that believes in second chances. Many diverse circumstances can limit the individual’s ability to live independently such as being released from prison without any available resources or leaving an abusive relationship with the very clothes on their backs without a plan B.

We don’t just write checks. We shop, pack, deliver, and serve. We believe in showing up, cleaning dishes, mopping floors, and creating connections face-to-face.
