Seeing as April is sexual assault awareness month\, we wanted to organize an event to raise awareness and funds to donate to a Safe Haven of our choice. \nThe day included an Easter egg hunt with thousands of eggs\, a visit from the Easter bunny\, a bounce house\, fun activities\, music\, delicious treats\, and beverages. After the event\, all the funds raised were donated to Safe Haven of Greater Waterbury! \nThe donation included a truckload of groceries\, feminine hygiene products\, diapers\, cleaning supplies\, and more. The shelter offers a supportive and welcoming environment where patients and their families can stay free of charge while undergoing treatments\, whether it’s a child battling cancer or parents in need of specialized medical care. \nOur decision to support Casa De Apoio Elba was driven by our desire to make a positive impact in the lives of those facing medical challenges away from home. By providing them with vital supplies and transportation assistance\, we aim to alleviate some of the burdens they may encounter during their medical journeys. We have extended our support to Casa De Apoio Elba on multiple occasions\, June 2024\, December 2023\, and July 2023! The connection to this shelter was established through friends who also advocate for this cause. \nJune 2024 – The Boulanger Foundation (TBF) donated essential supplies such as cleaning products\, paper goods\, milk\, and R$2\,000 in gas to fulfill their transportation requirements. \nDecember 2023 – We provided donations to families with children within the medical treatment facility\, offering Christmas toys to the kids living there. \nJuly 2023 – We supported Casa De Apoio Elba by providing food provisions\, a year’s supply of gas for their vehicle\, as well as toys and supplies for the infants residing there. The park was transformed into a vibrant display of colors as runners made their way through the course\, each step a joyful remembrance of Finn. \nFamilies indulged in delicious food and beverages throughout the day\, including coffee\, cider\, and more. An ice cream truck was also on-site\, offering sweet treats for all attendees. Their work provides housing\, counseling\, and transitional living services for men and women facing mental or physical disabilities\, addiction\, and recovery challenges. Through recovery housing\, transitional programs\, and ADA certified group homes and apartments\, they help individuals take meaningful steps toward stability and independence. \nOur goal throughout the holiday season was simple. To reach as many people as possible with care that preserves dignity and meets real needs\, both locally and globally. \nThis effort reflects what the season is truly about. On December 15\, 2025\, a $10\,000 donation was made in continued support of the men and women who selflessly protect and serve the Middlefield community. \nThese volunteers do not serve for recognition. They answer calls in the middle of the night\, leave their families without hesitation\, and move toward danger when others are seeking safety. In the firehouse and beyond\, they remain the backbone of our town. \nThis annual donation is made possible because of the generosity of our donors and supporters.
